AI Assistant

The AI Assistant generates fully configured rooms and forms from a plain-English description. It is available at Create → AI Assistant in the sidebar.

What it can create

What you describeWhat it generates
A feedback roomRoom with name, header/footer text, emoji titles, placeholders, and auto-categorization tags — all matched to your context
A formMulti-question form with the right question types, labels, descriptions, and settings
A room in a specific folderRoom placed directly into the named folder
A form for a specific roomForm with questions and wording tailored to that room's topic

Creating a room

Type a description of the feedback channel you want:

"Create a room for my API documentation page."

"Create a private room for manager performance feedback, in the HR folder."

"Create a room for sprint retrospectives in the Engineering folder."

The assistant will:

  1. Generate a descriptive room name
  2. Write a context-specific header question (e.g. "How helpful was this documentation?")
  3. Write a footer note (e.g. "Your feedback helps us keep our docs accurate and useful.")
  4. Configure each emoji (happy / neutral / sad) with:
    • A relevant emoji and label (e.g. 😊 "Helpful")
    • A follow-up title shown after the emoji is tapped (e.g. "What worked well?")
    • A contextual placeholder for the comment box (e.g. "Tell us what was clear and helpful...")
  5. Generate auto-categorization tags per sentiment, capitalized (e.g. "Clear", "Easy to follow", "Missing examples")
  6. Place the room in the named folder (if one was mentioned and exists in your organization)

After creation, a "Click here to configure" link opens the room settings panel directly.

Folder placement

Include a folder name in your prompt and the room will be placed there automatically:

"...in the Engineering folder"
"...put it in the HR folder"
"...under Documentation"

If the folder doesn't exist yet, the assistant will ask you to confirm before creating it:

📁 The folder "Engineering" doesn't exist yet. Would you like to create it and place "API Docs Feedback" inside?

Create folder & room · Cancel

Confirming creates the folder and places the room inside it in one step. Cancelling discards the room — you can rephrase your prompt without a folder name to create the room without one.

Privacy

Say "private" or "confidential" in your prompt to create a private room:

"Create a private room for leadership feedback."

Private rooms are only visible to organization members. If you place a room in a private folder, it inherits the folder's privacy automatically.

Creating a form

Describe the survey you want — question types, topics, structure:

"Create a two-page course evaluation. Page 1: overall star rating, pace dropdown, difficulty scale 1–5. Page 2: instructor rating, teaching methods checkboxes, and an open comments field."

"Create a customer satisfaction survey with NPS scale, feature request checkboxes, and a long-text comments field."

"Create a feedback form for the Documentation room, focused on clarity, accuracy, and missing content."

The assistant generates:

  • All questions with the correct types, labels, and descriptions
  • Options arrays for multiple choice / checkboxes / dropdown questions
  • Scale ranges and labels for linear scale questions
  • Emoji arrays for emoji selector questions
  • Multi-page structure if requested
  • A suitable title, slug, submit button text, and success message

After creation, a "Click here to edit and customize your form" link opens it directly in the form builder.

Targeting a room

Tell the assistant the form is for a specific room and all question wording will be tailored to that topic:

"Create a form for the Sprint Retro room."
"Build a feedback form for the Documentation room."

This only affects content generation — it does not create a hard link between the form and the room in the database.

Tips for best results

Be specific about the topic. The more context you give, the more relevant the generated content.

VagueSpecific
"Create a feedback room""Create a room for my API getting-started guide"
"Make a survey""Create a 2-page course evaluation with ratings and an NPS scale"

Name question types when you know them. The assistant supports: short text, long text, multiple choice, checkboxes, dropdown, linear scale, star rating, emoji selector, date, time, image choice.

Mention folders by their exact name. The assistant does a case-insensitive match, but the folder must already exist in your organization.

Mention private if needed. The assistant defaults to public rooms.

Usage limits

During the beta period, each user can generate up to 5 items via the AI Assistant. The current usage count is shown in the assistant header.

This limit applies to both rooms and forms combined.

After the assistant creates something

  • Room → opens at the room settings panel where you can refine header, footer, emojis, tags, and style
  • Form → opens in the form builder where you can reorder questions, adjust options, and preview the form

You can always edit AI-generated content manually — treat it as a strong first draft.
